sunday: april 5th

so, i was asked to write about love, after my last email on 29th april, and love to me and hopefully to everyone, means a lot, and it's something i constantly keep thinking about.

love. some of us make the mistake of limiting the emotion to a single person or concept, which is your life partner, your girlfriend, and so on. but there is one kind of love that will (or should) always supercede the other kinds of love, and that is self love. someone once told me 'how do you expect to love someone honestly when you don't love yourself?'. it is important to reflect and try to figure out if you really do love yourself, because the moment you realise that you do, that's when things change for you. happiness is born from that. followed by really good things. 

in the movie Interstellar, this was said about love:
"Love isn’t something we invented. It’s observable, powerful, it has to mean something… Love is the one thing we’re capable of perceiving that transcends dimensions of time and space."

there is no doubt about the power and the genuineness of the emotion, and at times it can also be a very confusing emotion. one that'll lead you to dark places, and sometimes the most colourful of places. 

if there's one thing i'd really like to put forward about love, it is that we should stop limiting it. love everything you do, love places, love the night sky, and flaunt it when you feel it, or don't. just don't forget to be open to feeling love in its full magnitude. 

i'll be writing a lot more about love, because quite honestly it's something that i will never stop having thoughts about, and can never stop writing about, so. 

to end this, here is something worth thinking about, i read this somewhere: 
"every time you forgive him, he will love you a little more, but you will stop loving him, so the day he loves you the most you will not feel anything for him anymore."
