sunday: march 29th

so it's the first one. if you're reading this, then it's because I thought you would want to. i'm going to be sending one of these every sunday so if you'd rather not receive it, please feel free to unsubscribe.

i'm going to use this platform to share what little i can, so you can (hopefully) gain some sort of knowledge out of it, with regards to life, love, poetry, literature and what not.

moments. i tweeted about this earlier today, and it's been in my head since.

this is exactly what I tweeted:

what makes any moment beautiful is the uncertainty of that moment ever repeating again. so kiss like it’s your last. hug like it’s your last. and look at the sky like it won’t be up there tomorrow. thank u bye

take a moment and think about it. how many times have you experienced something so insanely beautiful but you had to grab your phone and capture the moment and etch it into the digital world only so you can consume some memory of the same moment (that you just missed by the way) in an inferior format?
that time you went into the balcony and took enough time to look at the night sky, enough for the light from the stars to actually catch your attention. you might never see the stars again, take the time to appreciate the fact that you noticed the stars. take the time to count what you can. you'll eventually realise the more you look at the sky, the more stars make way into your vision.

by not completely being present you are missing so much detail, so much so that you truly haven't lived that moment at all.

that beautiful moment when your lips touch another? instead of thinking about where you are, where this is going to lead. take in that moment. enjoy that kiss. because trust me, when you do. there's nothing more beautiful. and I don't say this because I think kisses are the most beautiful thing in the world. I say this because there is nothing more beautiful than being present.

there is nothing that matters more than right now. right now. your past has bid farewell to you. your future relies on the present.

so yeah, this sunday forwards, be conscious. seep in every detail. the way someone's room smells. the way the coffee tastes. the weird ways someone pronounces certain words. the way birds glide through the sky. and most importantly, love now without thinking a hundred years into the future.

thank you.

with all the love.
xoxo your sunday buddy.
